Spa Hookups

At Infinity Electric, we provide electrical services for spa and hot tub hookups. We understand that spas can require substantial electrical power and that their connections need to be installed carefully with the equipment specifications, property, and applicable electrical requirements in mind.

When you purchase a new spa or hot tub, we can evaluate your existing electrical system and determine what is required to power the equipment safely. Depending on the spa, our work may include installing a dedicated circuit, appropriately sized wiring, a disconnecting means, GFCI protection, breakers, and other necessary electrical components.

We don't assume that every spa installation has the same requirements. Different models can have different voltage and amperage specifications, so we use the equipment information to determine the appropriate electrical configuration. Having those specifications available before installation allows us to plan the electrical work around the actual spa being installed.
GFCI protection is a particularly important consideration for spa installations because the equipment operates around water. We install the required protective equipment and configure the electrical connection appropriately for the application.

We also evaluate the property's existing electrical capacity. If the current electrical panel does not have the necessary capacity or an appropriate circuit isn't available, we can determine what modifications may be required. Depending on the circumstances, that could involve installing a new circuit or making other electrical upgrades before the spa is connected.

For outdoor spas and hot tubs, we also consider the electrical routing, equipment location, disconnecting requirements, and other installation factors that apply to the project. Our goal is to provide a properly installed electrical connection that is reliable and appropriate for the equipment. We can perform the electrical portion of a spa installation whether you're installing a new hot tub at your home, replacing an older unit, or upgrading an existing electrical connection. We recommend having the electrical requirements evaluated before the spa arrives. This gives us an opportunity to identify any necessary electrical work ahead of time instead of discovering an electrical limitation after the equipment has been delivered.

If you're planning a spa or hot tub installation, contact Infinity Electric. We'll review your equipment specifications and existing electrical system and explain what we'll need to do to provide the appropriate electrical hookup.
